Top-up credit
Need more than your included credit? Prepaid packs, in plain dollars — buy one when you want it, not on a schedule.
A dollar of credit buys a dollar of metered usage. Included credit is spent first, then trial credit, then packs. Every metered unit has a $0.05 minimum. Packs are bought inside the product — sign in, then Account → Plan.
Bring your own key
Put your own Anthropic or OpenRouter API key on file and model spend rides your provider account — Treft doesn't charge for the model leg. Sandbox time and independent verification still meter from your Treft credit, because that work runs on our infrastructure either way.
Keys are stored encrypted, used only for your own runs, and never displayed again after you save them. Available on every plan — manage keys in the cockpit's Account panel.
What usage actually costs
Published rates, from measured runs on real repositories — not hypotheticals. Your own numbers are always visible: the run view meters every run as it happens.
What does a run cost?
Most runs land between $0.25 and $1.25, depending on task size and model. Small fixes can cost less — the minimum for any metered unit is $0.05 — and large feature work on frontier models can reach a few dollars. You see the total on the card before you approve anything.
What does a verification cost?
From $0.05. A verification rents a fresh sandbox, checks out your repository, applies the exact patch, and re-runs the tests. A typical project lands at the minimum; long test suites cost more. The Free plan includes 50 every month.
Billing questions
Does credit expire or roll over?
Your one-time trial credit never expires. Pro’s monthly $5 is the month’s — it does not roll over. Prepaid packs never expire. Included credit is spent first, then trial credit, then packs.
Do failed runs cost money?
Yes. Usage is metered whether or not you approve the result, because the meter is real work: model calls, sandbox time, verification. Every run carries a hard cost cap, and you can interrupt any run at any moment.
What happens when credit runs out?
Work in flight finishes under its own run cap — running out of credit never kills a run mid-flight. New work is refused with a plain reason and a top-up option. No silent queueing, no surprise invoice.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Cancel anytime in the self-serve billing portal. Your plan reverts to Free’s dials; nothing in flight is killed, and your remaining trial and pack credit stays yours. Your data and repos are untouched.
What are the bring-your-own-key bounds?
BYOK runs are unlimited in model spend — that’s between you and your provider — and bounded by your plan’s daily run limit (50 a day on Free, 200 on Pro). Sandbox time and verification still meter from Treft credit.
Where do I see spend?
Live, then monthly. The run view meters each run as it happens; the cockpit's Account panel shows the month's usage, your credit, and your keys.
